Success for All Foundation

Around the Corner: A Technology-Enhanced Approach to Early Literacy

The project is designed to improve the reading skills of struggling young readers with a focus on literacy acquisition and oral language development. The project accomplishes this by adding interactive multimedia content to the instructional materials used in the pre-K and K instructional programs that are part of the Success for All school turnaround model. Using media content produced by Sesame Workshop and Sirius Thinking, the project will develop new interactive versions of the Curiosity Corner and KinderCorner programs; create additional computer, video, and print materials for use by children in their homes; and create a video-enhanced professional development model to support teachers.
